This sourdough was born in 2013, along with my passion for baking. It has come a long way with me: moving out of town, writing a guide to baking sourdough bread, occupation, recovery from drying, and thousands of loaves that you can see in my photos on Instagram @OlenaQueenBread.

It is convenient, fragrant, reliable and not at all capricious. It is suitable for baking both wheat and rye bread. It lives in the refrigerator, feeds on plus/minus once a week (if you don't bake more often), on any wheat or rye flour that is at hand.

It can be the beginning of your exciting bread story.

Every week I send out a batch of live sourdough straight from my kitchen, it's the same sourdough I bake all my bread with – strong, stable, and time-tested.

Shipping every Friday morning (delivery only in Ukraine).

I accept orders until Wednesday 20:00 (if you order later, the starter will come to you next week). The starter will be sent by Nova Poshta and will arrive at your place on Saturday. Please make sure that you will be able to meet and feed it on Saturday before ordering :)

Each order comes with short instructions: how to refresh, how to make a stock "just in case." And also, the simplest bread recipe from me, made from any wheat flour. Even beginners can make it.
