Instructions:

Step 1. Choose the meat

Select a good-quality beef cut suitable for steak. The flavor of the final dish always depends on the quality of the meat.

Step 2. Salt the steak

Season the steak generously on both sides. Salt helps create a flavorful crust and keeps the meat juicy.

Step 3. Add the oil

Rub the steak with olive oil. You can use sunflower oil, but for steaks olive oil gives a better aroma and crust.

Step 4. Rest before grilling

Place the steak in a bowl or plate, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.

If using rosemary, lightly crush the sprigs before adding them to release the aroma.

❗ Add black pepper only after the steak is cooked.Unlike salt, pepper doesn’t dissolve — it burns on direct heat and becomes bitter.

Step 5. Grill the steak

Heat your grill or charcoal grate. Place the steak on a well-heated surface.

  1. Sear until a golden crust forms.

  2. Flip.

  3. Insert a meat thermometer.

  4. Cook to your preferred doneness:

Step 6. Let the steak rest

Remove the steak from the grill and place it on a plate. Let it rest for 5–7 minutes.

Do NOT cover the steak. Resting allows the juices to redistribute evenly — this is what makes the steak truly juicy. Covering would continue the cooking process and lead to overdone meat.

Enjoy!
